INTERNATIONAL LIFEBOAT UTILITY BLOCKS KLAKSVÍK EVICTION; FILES SYSTEMIC MISCONDUCT COMPLAINTS IN TÓRSHAVN AND COPENHAGEN

TÓRSHAVN, FAROE ISLANDS — The Byzantine National Lifeboat Institution Stichting (BNLI) has officially escalated its dispute over the rescue vessel "NMC PROTECTOR" (SLR11180) by launching parallel institutional actions against the Municipality of Klaksvík.

The international maritime safety organization has filed formal complaints with Løgtingsins Umboðsmaður in Tórshavn and Folketingets Ombudsmand in Copenhagen, exposing a severe web of political discrimination, commercial duress, and flagrant conflicts of interest at the highest levels of the Klaksvík port administration.

The 30-Minute Ultimatum Exposed
According to the filed ombudsman evidence, on September 21, 2026, minutes before the Harbour Master issued an irregular administrative eviction notice, a local proxy representing the port authority delivered a recorded telephone warning to BNLI management, stating: “You are not in the Faroe Islands. You are far away... everybody will turn a back on you.” Within 30 minutes of this coercive call, the Harbour Master officially ordered the vessel to leave.

Oligarchic Conflict of Interest
The core of the complaint exposes Tummas J. Lervig, the active Chairman of the Klaksvík Port and Business Committee (Havna- og vinnunevndin). Lervig is also the beneficial owner and/or director of KJ Hydraulik—the private shipyard facing severe civil liability for structural damage possibly inflicted on the NMC PROTECTOR during an unauthorized dry-docking.

BNLI alleges that Lervig utilized his public, municipal office and the Harbour Master to issue a forced eviction order to physically remove the safety-compromised vessel from the jurisdiction, effectively attempting to displace the primary physical evidence held against his private company. This marks a direct breach of mandatory impartiality and recusal rules under Section 3-6 of the Faroese Public Administration Act.

Crew Stood Down Under Duress
Faced with localized intimidation and orchestrated logistical isolation, BNLI has ordered its maritime crew to stand down from physical presence to guarantee their safety. In legal notices dispatched to port advocate SÓKN Advokatar, BNLI has officially transferred 100% of the physical, civil, and environmental liability for the vessel directly to Klaksvíkar kommuna.

BNLI asserts that the public port is utilizing ideological discrimination and anti-whaling (grindadráp) bias as a smokescreen to cover up commercial irregularities. The organization has requested that the Parliamentary Ombudsman immediately invalidate the eviction notice, freeze all municipal execution orders, and open a formal investigation into the contracting and financial oversight practices of the Klaksvík Port Committee.
